Physical activity

We follow NHS guidance that encourage children to be physically active every day. Regular physical activity helps build and maintain strong, healthy joints, bones and muscles.

Gross motor skills are important to enable children to perform every day functions, such as walking, running, playground skills, kicking, throwing etc. Gross motor skills have an influence on other every day functions, such as sitting upright, getting on and off the toilet/potty, eating, dressing, carrying, hand-eye coordination.

We ensure that every child has fresh air daily and we ask parents to bring suitable clothing for outdoor play, whatever the weather!
